Describes the general principles regarding child    protection (Part II). It describes when a child is in need of protective intervention (Part III) and establishes the procedure to be followed.

Establishes the rights of persons with disabilities, including equality in employment (Sub-Part I), education (Sub-Part II), health (Sub-Part III) and housing (Sub-Part IV). 

Provides legal remedies to protect victims of various sexual offences, including rape, sexual assault, incest, sexual indecency, grooming and voyeurism. The Act is gender neutral.
